Microcredit financing is extensively considered as an effective development method for poverty mitigation and women empowerment. Nevertheless, relevant studies reflected opposing outcomes on microfinance effects consisting of positive, zero, and negative impacts. Thus, this research investigated Al-Amal Bank’s microcredit impacts on women empowerment in Yemen, one of the poorest Middle Eastern nations. A panel dataset and primary and secondary data were gathered through household surveys and propensity score matching to restrict intangible variables’ possible effects. The empirical results revealed that microcredit had a significant positive effect on monthly household incomes and accumulated asset values. Although microcredit facilitated female entrepreneurship and income generation for improved household incomes and expenditure, no influence was found on female household decisions and mobility following the patriarchal system practised in many Arabian nations, including Yemen. Hence, the study finding has theoretically and practically contributed to the body of knowledge in three ways. First, a novel proof of how microcredit interactions affected several Yemeni women empowerment elements was identified. This study also provides new insight into the empowerment theory by explaining how access to microcredit influences numerous features of women’s economic and social empowerment. Lastly, social and family traditions significantly influenced female attributes and lifestyles by reflecting how communal and family rituals affected microcredit impacts on women empowerment and vice versa. Conversely, this study guides Yemeni policymakers and those from other nations on extending financial services for self-development to reduce poverty and drive women empowerment rather than relying on government and international agencies.

This study tries to identify the factors influencing sustainability in green entreperenurial start-up. Thus, the goal of the research was to recognize the factors influencing sustainability in green entreperenurial start-up., use the Theory Planned Behaviour approach to analyze the interrelationship among these factors and develop conceptual startup green entreperenurial framework using Structural Equation Modeling. As a result, this goal will assist start-up industry managers and practitioners in better understanding the interactions of enablers and identifying critical enablers that influence the sustainability in green entreperenurial start-up. A knowledge gap exists in how startups, especially in developing economies with less institutional support, can navigate sustainability challenges. There's a clear need for detailed empirical research to explore into these issues. In research methodology side It also emphasizes the importance of ensuring research validity through methods like AMOS-SEM for robustness checks in the models. The researcher could intgrate other theory to measure sustainable business acceptance. Previously the study focusses on sustainability in start-up operations 4.0 but the researcher extends the research on Green entrepreneurial Intention toward Sustainable Startup operations.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) represent the backbone of Malaysia’s economic development; however, their sustained competitiveness is increasingly challenged by the disruptive forces of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0). While prior studies have primarily examined IR4.0 adoption in manufacturing contexts, limited attention has been accorded to the service sector, particularly Information and Communication Technology (ICT) SMEs. Anchored in the Dynamic Capability View (DCV), this conceptual study proposes a theoretical framework comprising four internal capability dimensions which are technological capability, digital organizational culture, organizational readiness, and financial capability with organizational sustainability as the dependent variable, mediated by IR4.0 adoption. Theoretically, this study contributes to extending DCV by integrating IR4.0 adoption as a mediating mechanism that translates internal dynamic capabilities into sustainable organizational performance. Empirically, the framework provides a structured foundation for future quantitative investigation using methods such as Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) to validate the relationships among dynamic capabilities, IR4.0 adoption, and sustainability. From a policy and managerial standpoint, the study offers actionable insights for SME stakeholders, emphasizing the strategic importance of digital capability-building and readiness enhancement under Malaysia’s national initiatives such as Industry4WRD and NIMP 2030. Collectively, this paper advances theoretical understanding and practical approaches for accelerating digital transformation and sustainability among ICT service SMEs in Malaysia.

This study investigates determinants of Malaysian patients’ intention to use e-health technology systems (EHTS), with Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) as a representative application. Grounded in UTAUT2 and informed by contextual factors, we examine performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and health awareness as key predictors of intention to use. Trust is modeled as a mediator that channels the effects of these determinants toward intention. A quantitative, cross-sectional survey using closed-ended items was administered to patients with mild chronic conditions. Data analysis comprises reliability and validity checks, correlation, and multiple regression with a bootstrapped indirect-effects test for mediation. We expect performance expectancy and health awareness to show the strongest positive relationships with intention to use, while trust partially mediates the relationships between determinants and intention. The findings aim to guide healthcare providers and policymakers on usability, patient education, and infrastructure investments to accelerate meaningful EHTS uptake and reduce avoidable hospital utilization. The study contributes empirical evidence on patient-side adoption of IoT-enabled healthcare in Malaysia and offers a practical framework for scaling EHTS (e.g., RPM) across public and private settings.

The Small Medium Enterprises (here after will be referred as SMEs) represent a divergent of enterprises and are the backbone of a country’s economic development fostering growth, creating employment opportunities, and generating revenue for the country. However, SMEs on average have a high environmental footprint and literature shows an estimated 60%–70% of industrial pollution is contributed by SMEs, especially from the manufacturing sector. The SMEs are vital stakeholders in their role as the main benefactor to economic activities, environmental impression, and social well-being, hence, it is crucial for SMEs to adopt eco-innovation. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to delineate the role of eco-innovation adoption towards manufacturer’s sustainability, particularly in food manufacturing industries emphasizing the developing countries. Literature indicates that there has been little research done in the developing countries on SMEs’ food manufacturing industries. This existing gap stresses the importance of this study. Though attention has been given to both internal and external analysis of a firm, this paper focuses on a firm’s dynamic capabilities as antecedents to adopt eco-innovation to be sustainable in its industry. Five main factors have been identified as the dynamic capabilities namely: technological compatibility, technological complexity, eco culture, capitalizing opportunity, and green human resource, with eco-innovation adoption as the mediating factor for a firm to be sustainable. This paper also proposes a model with hypothesis development to be tested mainly in the SMEs food manufacturing industries emphasizing the developing countries.

This study aims to identify and analyze the technopreneurial factors influencing the construction industry in Indonesia, with a focus on residential property developers. In the era of digitalization and technological advancements, the application of technopreneurship principles in the construction sector has become crucial for improving industry competitiveness and efficiency. The research methodology employed is a mixed-method approach (quantitative and qualitative), using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, surveys, and field observations with construction industry players, particularly residential property developers in the former Karesidenan Surakarta region. The research findings indicate that the main factors affecting technopreneurial capabilities include technological innovation, such as the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), cloud-based project management, and the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in property management. Additionally, the ability to adapt to digitalization, the development of technology-based human resources, and managerial and entrepreneurial capacity are key drivers. External factors such as government policies, access to technology, and digital infrastructure support also play a significant role in promoting the development of technopreneurship in this industry. In conclusion, enhancing technopreneurial capacity in the construction industry, particularly in residential property development, can be achieved through the synergy of technological innovation, workforce skills development, and policies that support technology adoption. Recommendations from this study include the need for technology-based training, strengthening collaboration between industry and educational institutions, and optimizing government policies to create a sustainable technopreneurial ecosystem.
