Shin-Chi Lai was born in Taichung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1980. He received a B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from ChienKuo Technology University, Changhua, Taiwan, in 2002. Then, he received his M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Yunlin, Taiwan, in 2005. He received the Ph.D. degree at National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2011. From Oct. 2011 to Jul. 2013, he was an assistant research fellow in the department of electrical engineering at National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. From Aug. 2013 to Jul. 2016, he was an assistant professor in the department of computer science and information engineering at Nanhua University. From Aug. 2016 to Jul. 2019, he was an associate professor in the department of computer science and information engineering. From Aug. 2019 to Jul. 2021, he has been a full professor in the department of computer science and information engineering at Nanhua University, Chiayi, Taiwan. Now, he is a Professor with the Department of Automation Engineering at National Formosa University. His main research interests are in signal processing and its circuit design, especially for speech, audio, biomedical, and multimedia applications.
