Borut Jereb is a Full Professor at the University of Maribor, specifically at the Faculty of Logistics. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Ljubljana in 1991. From 1991 to 1992, he served as a Visiting Professor at Oregon State University in the United States. After returning to Slovenia, he gained extensive experience managing and consulting for companies and government agencies (Marinet (Market Information Net) Ltd., Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, SRC.SI, and the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia). He is also a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). His areas of research interest encompass computer science and informatics, risk and investment management in logistics, air pollution and traffic, and environmental management. He has diverse expertise, combining computer science with logistics and environmental aspects. His academic experience and practical involvement in managing and consulting for various organizations likely contribute to his knowledge and understanding of these subjects.
