Dr. Zhongwu Guo received his bachelor's and master’s degrees in pharmacy from Second Military Medical University, China, and his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Polish Academy of Sciences. He was Assistant and Associate Professor at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Fellow at RIKEN, and Assistant Research Officer at the National Research Council of Canada before joining Case Western Reserve University and Wayne State University as professor. He is currently the Scott Chair and Professor at University of Florida. His main research interests are in carbohydrate chemistry and glycobiology, including new methodologies for complex carbohydrate and glycoconjugate synthesis and analysis, carbohydrate-based anticancer/antibacterial vaccines, and glycoimmunology.
