Isidro Calvo (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in applied physics in 1993 and the Ph.D. degree in control engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, in 2004. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Systems Engineering and Automatic Control at the Faculty of Engineering of Vitoria-Gasteiz (UPV/EHU) in Spain. He has authored over 80 papers published in international conferences and journals. His research interests focus on industrial informatics, cyber-physical systems, computer communications, and engineering education.
