Manfred Sager is a scientist at Bioforschung Austria, where he has been working since 2017. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Vienna. His main research focus is on method applications for determining the main nutrients, trace elements, and their mobilities in soils, composts, agricultural products, and biological matrices. He also provides advice on project concepts and evaluation. Previously, he worked from 1983 to 1991 at the Federal Testing and Research Centre Arsenal in Vienna in the field of geochemical and environmental analysis, and from 1991 to 2016 Federal Institute of Agricultural Research in Vienna (currently Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety), to head the department of inorganic analyis of animal feeds, fertilizers, plants and food.
