Biography
Ronnie Vernooy received his PhD in sociology of rural development from Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands in 1988. He has worked as a senior researcher at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT since 2011. His research interests include the conservation and sustainable use of agrobiodiversity, community seed banks, resilient seed systems, and rural development.
