Changsix Ra (Professor, Ph.D.) holds a Bachelor of Agriculture degree in Animal Husbandry from Kangwon National University, obtained in 1989, and a Master of Agriculture degree in Livestock Microbiology, also from Kangwon National University, earned in 1991. In 1997, he completed his Ph.D. in Livestock Environment at the State University of British Columbia. Dr. Ra has an extensive career that includes serving as the Dean of the College of Animal Life Sciences at Kangwon National University from 2017 to 2019, and as the Director of the Kangwon National University Climate Change Science Institute from 2015 to 2016. He is currently serving as a Director at the Korea Livestock Environment Management Institute, and has been the President of the Korea Livestock Facilities and Environment Society since 2022. Additionally, he has held the position of Member on the Ministry of Environment's Livestock Manure Management Policy Committee since 2012 and has also been a Member of the Livestock Environment Recycling Council of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs since 2008. Dr. Ra's research interests encompass various aspects of livestock environment and biomass, and he is an esteemed member of professional societies in his field.
