V.A. Aseev graduated in 2002 from St. Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO), the Department of Quantum Electronics and Biomedical Optics. Ph.D. thesis was devoted to spectral and luminescent properties of laser highly concentrated ytterbium-erbium glass and nanostructured glass ceramics. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2012. Since 2005, he has worked as a researcher at the Department of Optoinformatics technologies and materials. Currently, the area of his scientific interests is the development and research of spectral-luminescent properties of glasses and transparent nano-glass ceramics. V.A. Aseev is a co-author of more than 50 publications.
