Head of V.P. Zenkovich Laboratory of Shelf and Sea Coasts P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics. Participant and organizer of eleven field and eight laboratory experiments on coastal zone waves and sediment dynamics. Research interests: mechanisms of sand suspending and transport in wave and current flows (laboratory, field, and numerical experiments); inception of turbulence in deep and shallow water waves (field and laboratory experiments); anddeep water and shoaling gravity waves, their irregularity, and group structure (field, laboratory, and numerical experiments).
