Information

Sandrine Bouquillon obtained her degree in chemical engineering in 1989 in Strasbourg, and then defended her doctoral thesis on the preparation of organometallic complexes for medical imaging in 1993 at Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France. After 18 months of post-doctoral studies on catalysis at the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim/Ruhr, Germany, she worked as an ATER at Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble. Appointed in 1996 as an assistant professor at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, her work focused on the synthesis of chiral metal complexes (Pd, Pt) for homogeneous catalysis and medicine; she also started her work on the valorization of agro-resources. After defending her HDR in December 2002, she was appointed as a professor at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne in 2006 and carried out her research activities at the Institute of Molecular Chemistry of Reims (UMR CNRS 7312). Her research includes the preparation and use of compounds derived from biomass (dendrimers, ionic liquids and surfactants). Her work has been recognized in 87 publications and has resulted in four patents.
