Yung-Yao Chen received his B.S. (2004) and M.S. (2006) degrees in Electrical and Control Engineering from the National Chiao Tung University, and his Ph.D. (2013) degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University - West Lafayette, IN, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Electronic and Computer Engineering and the Co-Director of Taiwan Tech Smart Electric Vehicle Research Center https://ai-sev.ntust.edu.tw/, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. He was an Associate Professor in the Graduate Institute of Automation Technology and Chief of Chinese Language Training Center (CLTC), National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), Taipei, Taiwan. Before being a faculty member, he has worked in HP Labs - Printing and Content Delivery Lab (HPL - PCDL) as a Full-Time Research Intern for 1 year (2012 - 2013). His current research interests include computer vision, vision-based automation, pattern recognition, color image processing, imaging systems, machine learning, and human–computer interaction.
