Haifeng Li received a master's degree in transportation engineering from the South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, in 2005, and a Ph.D. degree in photogrammetry and remote sensing from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China in 2009. He is currently a professor with the School of Geosciences and Info-Physics, Central South University, Changsha, China. He was a research associate with the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2011, and a visiting scholar with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, IL, USA, from 2013 to 2014. He has authored over 30 journal papers. His current research interests include geo/remote sensing big data, machine/deep learning, and artificial/brain-inspired intelligence. He is a reviewer for many journals.
