Jifeng Deng received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in 2008 and 2011 from the College of Forestry, Northeast Forestry University, Heilongjiang, China. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the College of Soil and Water Conservation, Beijing Forestry University, Beijing, China in 2015. From 2009 to 2010, he studied at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, China, focusing on sustainable agriculture and conservation agriculture. From 2013 to 2015, as a Joint Ph,D, student, he studied at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and Agriculture and Agri-Food in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, mainly focusing on various research topics including soil erosion processes and erosion measurement techniques.
Now he is the Associate Professor and postgraduate students' tutor at the College of Forestry, Shenyang Agricultural University, Liaoning, China, and Deputy Director of Forestry Tree Genetics and Breeding Research Key Laboratory of Liaoning Province. He is also a member of the International Soil Tillage Research Organization, the Chinese Society of Forestry and the Chinese Society of Soil and Water Conservation. His general research interests are in the areas of soil erosion, land degradation, forest ecosystem restoration, forest hydrology, and desertification control.
