I achieved my PhD from Massey University in New Zealand working on the reproductive biology of a leafroller important for the kiwifruit industry. I am currently working at the National Polytechnic Institute at Morelos State, Mexico. I supervise master's and doctorate students on sexual selection, mate choice, insect behavior, chemical ecology, insect plant interactions, and biopesticides. I have been a visiting researcher several times at Plant and Food Research, Ltd., in Christchurch, New Zealand. I have coordinated three different postgraduate programs and was the CEO of R&D at my working place.
