Dr. Vera Rocca obtained her Master’s of Science (MSc) and her PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering of the Politecnico di Torino (Italy), where she is currently a Confirmed Assistant Professor. She is involved in numerous courses both at MSc, Master post Lauream and PhD levels at the Politecnico di Torino. She also taught at the Kazakh-British Tecnical University as well as in several training courses for private societies in Italy and abroad. She is author of numerous research papers; she also attended as speaker and chairman for many international conferences. Her research activities have been focus on the optimization of reservoir production, the fluid-flow and geomechanical analysis and 3D numerical simulation, the subsidence and rebound induced by anthropogenic activities. She is involved in research projects related to the underground energy systems and energy transition, as well as the storage of natural gas in underground formation.
