Prof. Hongliang Wang is currently the vice president and associate professor of the School of Energy Resources, China University of Geosciences, Beijing, a member of the China Petroleum Society, the Geological Society of America (GSA), and the Energy Industry Shale Oil Standardization Technical Committee. He received a bachelor's degree in geology from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) in 1992, a master's degree in coal, oil, and gas geology and exploration from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) in 1995, and a doctorate in mineral prospecting and exploration from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) in 2001. He mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research in the fields of sequence stratigraphy, sedimentary reservoirs, sedimentary basin analysis, oil and gas reservoir prediction, and evaluation.
