Marco Carratù (M’16) was born in Brugg, Switzerland, in 1989. He received an M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering and a Ph. D degree from the University of Salerno, Italy, in 2015 and 2019, respectively. He is currently with the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Salerno, as a Research Fellow in Electronic Measurements. Since 2019, he has been a guest researcher at the Midden Sweden University. His current research interests include instrument fault detection and isolation, sensor data fusion, digital signal processing for advanced instrumentation, embedded measurement systems, divulgation, and the use of IEEE21451 standards for sensor networks. He is also the author of several papers, both in international journals and peer-reviewed international conferences on IEEE topics, collaborating with other researchers worldwide. He is a member of the IEEE I&M Society and the Italian Group of Electric and Electronic Measurement, “GMEE,” Italy. He serves as a reviewer for journals in instrumentation and measurement fields, such as IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, and Measurement and IEEE Sensor Journal. Since 2019, he has also been a member of the IMEKO Technical Committee 10 on Technical Diagnostics and an IEEE IMS TC 37 Member.
