The discipline of Automatic Text Summarization (ATS), which is expanding quickly, intends to automatically create summaries of enormous amounts of text so that readers can save time and effort. ATS is a rapidly growing field that aims to save readers time and effort by automatically generating summaries of large volumes of text. In recent years, significant advancements have been witnessed in this area, accompanied by challenges that have spurred extensive research. The proliferation of textual data has sparked substantial interest in ATS, which is thoroughly examined in this survey study. Researchers have been refining ATS techniques since the 1950s, primarily categorized as extractive, abstractive, or hybrid approaches. In the extractive approach, key sentences are extracted from the source document(s) and combined to form the summary, while the abstractive approach employs an intermediary representation of the input document(s) to generate a summary that may differ from the original text. Hybrid approaches combine elements of both extractive and abstractive methods. Despite various recommended methodologies, the generated summaries still exhibit noticeable differences compared to those created by humans. This research survey offers an inclusive exploration of ATS, covering its challenges, types, classifications, approaches, applications, methods, implementations, processing and preprocessing techniques, linguistic analysis, datasets, and evaluation measures, catering to the needs of researchers in the field.

Ever since its emergence, the concept internet of things (IoT) has been applied in many fields. In the area of medical sciences, a new concept “Internet of Medical Things” (IoMT) has been explored. IoMT establishes a connection between humans & machines and serves both of them. It has been expected that, by 2025, services of IoMT would reach the entire world. IoMT has covered a wide scope pertaining to health but unfortunately been facing many security challenges. Healthcare systems consist of sensitive and significant data, which is unorganized and noisy and needs additional power to be calculated for effective analysis & workable results. This data is worked upon for the purpose of making critical decisions. Therefore, it has become the main target of Cyber Criminals. The need of robust security and privacy (S&P) is gradually increasing as more and more devices are getting connected to the IoMT. The S&P of the IoMT has now become a great challenge, considering the utmost significance and vulnerability of the data in the healthcare industry. Lack of sufficient S&P in IoMT devices keeps the patients’ privacy at high stake. This research is intended to propose a Security Model to cope with these Security threats, attacks, issues and challenges. The proposed model has been developed by thoroughly investigating all the major security models through a detailed systematic literature review. The SLR has been conducted to explore all the security threats, security attacks, security issues and security challenges. Extensive meta-analysis has been performed for each of the defined category in order to prioritize these risks. After analyzing these risks, a comprehensive security model has been proposed. The interface has been developed in Python which is well structured, user friendly and easy to implement. The developed module not only identify and prioritize the risks but also automatically control different level of threats. The developed system also contain user intimation modules in case of any threat. This research is based on a very flexible and comprehensive model, which would be highly beneficial to future researchers who desire to work on existing models for the improvement as well as to those who wish to create new security models for IoMT.

Wireless sensor network is widely used in different IoT-enabled applications such as health care, underwater sensor networks, body area networks, and various offices. A sensor node may face operational difficulties due to low computing capacity. Moreover, mobility has become an open challenge in the healthcare wireless body area network that is highly affected by message loss due to topological manipulation. In this article, an enhanced version of the well-known algorithm MT-MAC is proposed, namely DT-MAC, to ensure successful message delivery. It considers node handover mechanism among virtual clusters to ensure network integrity and also uses the concept of minimum connected dominating set for network formation to achieve efficient energy utilization. It is then compared with well-known algorithms such as MT-MAC. The simulation results show that an increase in little latency of roughly 3 percent in using the proposed protocol improves the MT-MAC's packet delivery by 13–17 percent and the response time by around 15 percent. Therefore, the algorithm is best fitted for real-time applications where the high packet delivery and response time are required.

According to statistics, stroke is the second or third leading cause of death and adult disability. Stroke causes losing control of the motor function, paralysis of body parts, and severe back pain for which a physiotherapist employs many therapies to restore the mobility needs of everyday life. This research article presents an automated approach to detect different therapy exercises performed by stroke patients during rehabilitation. The detection of rehabilitation exercise is a complex area of human activity recognition (HAR). Due to numerous achievements and increasing popularity of deep learning (DL) techniques, in this research article a DL model that combines convolutional neural network (CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM) is proposed and is named as 3-Layer CNN-LSTM model. The dataset is collected through RGB (red, green, and blue) camera under the supervision of a physiotherapist, which is resized in the preprocessing stage. The 3-layer CNN-LSTM model takes preprocessed data at the convolutional layer. The convolutional layer extracts useful features from input data. The extracted features are then processed by adjusting weights through fully connected (FC) layers. The FC layers are followed by the LSTM layer. The LSTM layer further processes this data to learn its spatial and temporal dynamics. For comparison, we trained CNN model over the prescribed dataset and achieved 89.9% accuracy. The conducted experimental examination shows that the 3-Layer CNN-LSTM outperforms CNN and KNN algorithm and achieved 91.3% accuracy.

Smart TV has become a pervasive device due to its support for numerous entertainment options. These capabilities of smart TV make it attractive for viewers and researcher. Besides, a plethora of multimedia content continues to grow, which makes searching and browsing the desired content a difficult, time-consuming, and contributes to cognitive overload problem. In the case of smart TV, making clusters of the related content based on user’s interest is among the best solutions. In this connection, this study proposed a dynamic approach for clustering the TV-related online multimedia content and presenting them in a manageable format on smart TV to mitigate the issue of searching and relevant recommendations. We collected and clustered the content from diverse data sources based on the viewer’s interest. This further recommends novel content to the viewers without social metadata, such as rates, tags, which is normally insignificant in for smart TV viewership due to its shared nature. We used bisecting K -means, Lingo, and Suffix Tree Clustering (STC) algorithms. A comparative analysis of these algorithms and suitability in the context of smart TV is also presented. Results show that the proposed approach enhances search results and recommends relevant content based on user’s interests.
