In GPS-denied environments, the spatio-temporal coupling of errors caused by dynamic network topologies poses a fundamental challenge to cooperative localization, presenting existing methods with a dilemma: approaches pursuing global optimization lack dynamic adaptability, while those focusing on local adaptation struggle to guarantee global convergence. To address this challenge, this paper proposes ST-DCL, a cooperative localization framework based on a novel principle of closed-loop spatio-temporal decoupling. The core of ST-DCL comprises two modules: a Dynamic Weighted Multidimensional Scaling (DW-MDS) optimizer, responsible for providing a globally consistent coarse estimate with provable convergence, and a specially designed Spatio-Temporal Graph Neural Network (ST-GNN) corrector, tasked with compensating for local nonlinear errors. The DW-MDS effectively suppresses interference from historical errors via an adaptive sliding window and confidence weights derived from our error propagation model. The key innovation of the ST-GNN lies in its two newly designed components: a Dynamic Topological Attention Module for actively modulating neighbor aggregation to inhibit spatial error diffusion, and a Dilated Causal Convolution Module for modeling long-term temporal dependencies to curb error accumulation. These two modules form a closed loop via a confidence feedback mechanism, working in synergy to achieve continuous error suppression. Theoretical analysis indicates that the framework exhibits bounded-error convergence under dynamic topologies. In simulations involving 200 nodes, velocities up to 50 m/s, and 15% NLOS links, the ST-DCL achieves a normalized root mean square error (NRMSE) of 0.0068, representing a 21% performance improvement over state-of-the-art methods. The practical efficacy and real-time capability are further validated through real-world flight experiments with a 10-UAV swarm in complex, GPS-denied scenarios.

To address the fundamental trade-off between real-time responsiveness to high-priority missions and long-term overall economic efficiency of the system in multi-UAV dynamic task assignment, we propose a hybrid intelligent scheduling algorithm abbreviated as DPSO-Greedy. The algorithm performs periodic global batch optimization for regular orders using an improved discrete particle swarm optimization (DPSO) method, and realizes instantaneous allocation of emergency orders via an adaptive multi-factor Greedy strategy, thus enabling efficient collaborative processing of differentiated tasks. Targeting the trade-off between real-time response and long-term system efficiency, this paper proposes a hybrid DPSO-Greedy algorithm with decoupled task scheduling mechanisms. Comparative simulation results demonstrate that compared with mainstream metaheuristic algorithms (Greedy, SSA, GWO and RHS), the proposed method reduces the average response time of emergency orders by 33.2–68.2%, achieves an emergency order completion rate exceeding 90%, and improves system load balancing performance by 24–35% in dynamic scenarios characterized by burst and tidal demands. This study provides a promising solution for dynamic UAV assignment problems and offers valuable insights for a broader range of real-time resource collaborative decision-making applications.

This paper proposes an adaptive prescribed performance sliding mode control method to address the input saturation problem in quadrotor UAVs. An offset function is designed to ensure that the initial values of the system errors always lie within the performance envelope. A first-order system is introduced to analyze error violation and compensate for the performance bounds, thereby enhancing system stability. An anti-windup auxiliary system and a non-singular fast terminal backstepping sliding mode controller are developed to mitigate the adverse effects of input saturation. A piecewise variable rate reaching law is designed to reduce controller chattering. An RBF neural network observer is constructed to compensate online for system modeling uncertainties and external disturbances. The uniform ultimate boundedness of all state errors is rigorously proved using Lyapunov theory. Simulation results demonstrate that, compared to traditional adaptive sliding mode control and PID control, the proposed method reduces the RMSE of the desired trajectory tracking error by 18.5% and 12.9%, respectively, and decreases the IAE by 34.3% and 23.3%, respectively, validating the effectiveness and superiority of the algorithm.

Addressing the multi-constraint, nonlinear optimization challenge of trajectory planning for multi-rotor agents in urban high-rise environments, this paper proposes an improved hybridization of Harris hawks optimization (HHO) with a pigeon-inspired optimization (PIO) algorithm, termed improved hybridization of Harris hawks with pigeon-inspired optimization (IHHHPIO). Conventional intelligent optimization algorithms often suffer from slow convergence rates or susceptibility to local optima in such complex scenarios. This research establishes a hierarchical collaborative search framework, where the HHO algorithm acts as a top-level coordinator for global exploration and region allocation, while the PIO algorithm functions as a bottom-level searcher for fine-grained optimization within designated areas. The two algorithms collaborate through a bidirectional information exchange mechanism: HHO guides the local search direction of each PIO group with global best-position information, and each PIO group feeds back its locally optimal solutions to HHO for updating the global optimum. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed IHHHPIO algorithm significantly outperforms both standard PIO and HHO algorithms in terms of convergence speed, solution accuracy, and stability, effectively planning safe, efficient, and collision-free flight trajectories. This work provides a reliable solution for agent logistics applications in complex urban environments. A certain limitation of this work lies in its validation solely through simulation, without physical experimental verification.

This paper investigates secure self-triggered time-varying formation control for quadrotor swarm systems against sequential multi-link scaling attacks, which can be implemented in a self-triggered and fully distributed manner. Firstly, based on the outer-loop position and velocity control model of quadrotors, a fully distributed secure time-varying formation control protocol is constructed under sequential multi-link scaling attacks with three characteristics: distributed, sequential, and scalable, and the design criteria for fully distributed secure time-varying formation control are provided. Then, combining the inner and outer-loop control principles of quadrotors, by constructing Euler angle loop controllers and angular velocity controllers, the conversion of the control input of the outer-loop position and velocity to the inner-loop attitude control is achieved, and fully distributed secure time-varying formation control algorithms for quadrotor UAV swarm systems under attacks are proposed. Finally, the effectiveness and applicability of the fully distributed secure consensus method in the formation control of quadrotor UAV swarms is verified through flight experiments using a quadrotor UAV swarm flight test platform. The research results provide a useful reference for the practical application of the fully distributed secure cooperative control theory.
