Prof. Dr. Andrea Pace, Full Professor and President of the HEAL ITALIA Foundation, is a Vice-Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at the University of Palermo. His educational experience includes study in the field of chemistry at the University of Palermo from November 1988 to January 1995. His research experience includes being an Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Department of Biological, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies (STEBICEF), University of Palermo from December 1997 to December 2014. His major research interests lie in investigations of organic synthesis; photocatalysis; flash chromatography; organic photochemistry; zeolites; photochemistry; synthesis; coordination chemistry; heterocyclic compound synthesis; and supramolecular chemistry.
