This study investigates the trace-element geochemistry of rare-metal pegmatites from the Kalba–Narym Batholith, Eastern Kazakhstan, to establish geochemical indicators of zonation and subtype differentiation within pegmatite fields. Detailed ICP-MS analyses of muscovite and K-feldspar reveal systematic variations in Li, Cs, Rb, Ta, Nb, P, and Ga contents that reflect progressive melt fractionation during the evolution of granitic magmas. These data allow the identification of four main pegmatite subtypes, including barren, beryl, albite–spodumene, and albite, representing successive stages of LCT (Li-Cs-Ta) pegmatite evolution. Both vertical and lateral geochemical zonation are recognized across the Kalba–Narym Batholith, controlled by magmatic differentiation and volatile enrichment. The results highlight the diagnostic value of trace-element systematics in rock-forming minerals as reliable indicators of fractionation and ore potential, and they provide quantitative criteria for the classification and exploration of rare-metal pegmatites within the Kalba–Narym Batholith.

The mineralogical composition of ores from the Artemyevskoye deposit, located in the Irtysh ore district of the Rudny Altai polymetallic belt, has been investigated. The ores exhibit complex mineralogical zoning and are classified into barite-polymetallic, polymetallic, copper-zinc, and copper types. Both the primary ores and their beneficiation products contain elevated concentrations of a wide range of trace elements, which in many cases exceed the clarke values for volcanogenic-sedimentary rocks by an order of magnitude or more. Against the background of progressive depletion of polymetallic ore reserves in the Rudny Altai, the processing and recycling of mining and beneficiation waste are considered a potentially sustainable source not only of major metals but also of strategically important and commercially valuable by-products (Bi, Cd, Ga, Sb, In and others)

The features of rare-metal mineralisation of the Kalba complex (P1) are considered, the genetic connection between granitoids of the I phase of the Kalba complex and the main pegmatite ore fields is established. Several ore zones are distinguished within the Kalba-Narym zone. The main rare-metal ore zone is confined to the Central Kalba. The most studied rare-metal (Ta, Nb, Be, Li, Sn) pegmatite objects – the Ognevsko-Bakennoe and Asu-Bulak ore fields – are concentrated here. In North-Western Kalba there is the Kvartsevoye deposit and a number of ore occurrences characterised by beryl-spodumene mineralisation. Deposits and occurrences here are confined to granitoids of phase II of the Kalba complex. All these deposits require further exploration using modern geophysical methods and high-precision geochemistry Рассмотрены особенности редкометалльной минерализации калбинского комплекса (Р1), установлена генетическая связь между гранитоидами I фазы калбинского комплекса и основными пегматитовыми рудными полями.

Based on the analysis of archival materials, geological exploration data, and original datasets, the scale of accumulation of technogenic mineral formations (TMFs) within the Leninogorsk, Zyryanovsk, and Irtysh ore districts of Eastern Kazakhstan has been evaluated. Waste rock dumps, tailings storage facilities, and sludge impoundments are shown to contain significant concentrations of base and precious metals (Pb, Zn, Cu, Au, Ag), as well as associated critical elements (Cd, As, Sb, Te, In, etc.). The results substantiate the potential for partial reprocessing of technogenic materials as secondary mineral resources, while simultaneously reducing environmental risks. It is demonstrated that the cumulative metal resources contained in mill tailings reach hundreds of thousands of tonnes of base metals and tens of tonnes of precious metals. Technogenic objects of the region should therefore be considered as independent anthropogenic deposits with considerable resource and economic potential
