Jaehyung Yu received a B.S. degree in geology and an M.S. degree in applied geology from Chungnam National University, Daejeon, South Korea, in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in geography from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 2005.
He served as an Assistant and an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Kingsville, TX, USA, from 2005 to 2012. He moved to the Department of Geological Sciences, Chungnam National University, in 2012 and is currently serving as a Professor. His research interests include UAV and satellite remote sensing applications on geological and environmental processes.
