It is a challenge for any optical method to measure objects with a large range of reflectivity variation across the surface. Image saturation results in incorrect intensities in captured fringe pattern images, leading to phase and measurement errors. This paper presents a new adaptive digital fringe projection technique which avoids image saturation and has a high signal to noise ratio (SNR) in the three-dimensional (3-D) shape measurement of objects that has a large range of reflectivity variation across the surface. Compared to previous high dynamic range 3-D scan methods using many exposures and fringe pattern projections, which consumes a lot of time, the proposed technique uses only two preliminary steps of fringe pattern projection and image capture to generate the adapted fringe patterns, by adaptively adjusting the pixel-wise intensity of the projected fringe patterns based on the saturated pixels in the captured images of the surface being measured. For the bright regions due to high surface reflectivity and high illumination by the ambient light and surfaces interreflections, the projected intensity is reduced just to be low enough to avoid image saturation. Simultaneously, the maximum intensity of 255 is used for those dark regions with low surface reflectivity to maintain high SNR. Our experiments demonstrate that the proposed technique can achieve higher 3-D measurement accuracy across a surface with a large range of reflectivity variation.
The electrospinning electric field is the main factor responsible for the jet stretching force. Previous studies showed that nonhomogeneous electric field would affect the jets formed during the multi-needles electrospinning. Therefore, a multitude of methods were explored to optimize the electric field in multi-needles electrospinning, such as adjusting the supplied voltage on each needle, varying the space of the needles and spatial distribution of the needles. In this paper, three categories of needles distribution were explored for a homogeneous electric field and the design of a higher needles density of electrospinning head. The theoretical and experimental results showed that the homogeneous electric field formed with the trapezoidal head at 15mm distance while the others’ head required over 30mm. Hence, the trapezoidal arrangement is a better multi-needles distribution for electrospinning head, and has much more significance for high yield of electrospinning nanofibers.

Due to the excellent advantages of high speed and high precision, fast tool servo (FTS) system driven by piezoelectric actuators has great attraction for high-quality machining of microstructural array. However, its complex hysteresis nonlinearity at high speed will greatly affect the accuracy and stability of FTS system. Therefore, a stable autoregressive moving average (SARMA) model is proposed in this paper, which aims to describe the dynamic hysteresis nonlinearity accurately. First, a long autoregressive model residual calculation method is used to determine the order of the model and test the applicability of the model. Then, according to the Lyapunov stability theory, the strict stability analysis of the autoregressive moving average (ARMA) model is carried out in theory. By introducing the relaxation factor to transform the stability condition, the Lagrange multiplier and best square approximation method are applied to enhance the performance of the traditional ARMA model. Aiming at the difficulty of displacement sensor integration in FTS closed-loop controlling system, a hysteresis-compensated direct feedforward control strategy based on the proposed SARMA model is designed. Finally, a series of high-frequency trajectory tracking and comparing experiments has been carried out successfully with the traditional Prandtl-Ishlinskii (PI) and SARMA models to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the method. All results uniformly indicate that the SARMA model is nearly 20 times higher than the traditional PI model in terms of control accuracy and linearity, while the average linearity of FTS's dynamic tracking control is kept within 0.43% (265 nm), the stroke is 280 μm, and the positioning bandwidth is achieved up to 200 Hz.

Template matching has been widely used in visual inspection process of WLFC packaging, but the structures of traditional TM algorithms always are direct feed-forward, which leads to the fact that it is very hard to achieve fast speed and high accuracy at the same time. The motivation of this work is to combine the ability to enable the chip visual measurement running in fast speed and high accuracy manner. Firstly, a novel self-feedback intelligent template matching structure is proposed, which can enable the intermediate information in the matching process to be fully utilized. The intelligent speed and resolution regulation rules are combined to construct the SFI-TM algorithm. Then, the reliability and robustness of the algorithm is analyzed to make sure it works stable. Finally, the practical chip alignment visual inspection experiments including parameter testing, comparing experiments with the other proposed visual detection algorithms, and robustness testing are carried out.
To mass-volume fabricate micro- and nano-scales aligned pattern, multi-nozzle near-field electrospinning (NFES) direct-writing technology is well proposed as a high-efficiency method in electrohydrodynamic (EHD) printing process. However, the interference effect among adjacent nozzles and coupling effect of various parameters have restricted to investigate deposition characteristic of multi-nozzle NFES and control EHD multi-jet deposition accuracy. In order to improve the accuracy of EHD multi-jet deposition with high-efficiency printing process, the experimental result compared with theoretical method were discussed. In this work, the influence of multi-nozzle geometry distribution and electrospinning parameters on deposition characteristic was studied with multi-nozzle NFES setup, and nozzles were in linear array. The deposition distance and homogeneity of aligned nanofibers were measured and explained with coefficient of dispersion on electric field among nozzles by simulation. Moreover, deposition distance of multi-nozzle NFES process was evaluated by modified theoretical derivation based on our previous studies. The modified theoretical derivation showed a good agreement with experiment results, and indicated that multi-nozzle NFES could accurately and efficiently direct-write aligned array pattern in future.
