Dr. Juan Carlos Pereira Falcon

Senior Researcher at LORTEK Technological Centre (Basque Research and Technology Alliance BRTA). PhD in Engineering and Industrial Production (ITM-UPV Spain), MSc in Mechanical Engineering (USB Venezuela), bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (UC Venezuela). He is the author of more than 19-refereed publications, most of them in high impact journals (Scopus, SCR-JCR) in the last five years. He has had several presentations at national and international congresses related to the development and characterization of MCrAlY laser coatings for high temperature applications, and also with process development for laser based additive manufacturing processes like LMD and SLM. He has worked at LORTEK since 2017. Previously, he worked as a Researcher in the Institute of Materials Technology (ITM Valencia – Spain) and as Professor and Researcher in the Materials and Manufacturing dept. of the Engineering Faculty (UC Venezuela). Currently, he is working in the Laser Based Additive Manufacturing research group at LORTEK in different European, National and Regional R&D projects. Project Manager in NEMARCO (H2020-CS2-CFP11-2020-01), Technical coordinator in HYPROCELL project (H2020-FoF13-2016), and technical support for AMABLE project (H2020-FoF12-2017-ICT I4MS).
