Joon-Ho Choi (S’98-M’02) received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Soongsil University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1996, 1998, and 2002, respectively. Since 2003, he has been a Professor with Chonnam National University, Gwang-ju, South Korea. His research interests include operation and integration and control strategies of distributed generation, distribution automation, and modeling and operation algorithms of the smart grid. Dr. Choi is a Life Member of the KIEE and The Korean Institute of Illuminating and Electrical Installation Engineers, and a Committee Member of IBS Korea. Since 2004, he has been an Associate Editor of the Transactions of the KIEE.
