Prof. Dr. Wilhelm K. Aicher is a Professor of Experimental Urology and Head of Research Laboratories in the Department of Urology, Center for Medical Research, University of Tübingen Hospital, Tübingen, Germany. He was a Research Fellow in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Birmingham, AL, USA from 1987 to 1989 and Post-Doc at UAB in the Department of Rheumatology in 1990 and 1991. He obtained a PhD in 1990 from the Faculty of Biology at the University of Tübingen. From 1992 to 1996, he was a Post-Doc at the University of Freiburg. Since 1996, Prof. Aicher has worked at the Unviersity of Tuebingen. In 1999, he earned Habilitation and venia legendi at the Faculty of Medicine, Eberhard-Karls University. Prof. Aicher’s research mainly centers on tissue engineering, stromal cell research, and cell production under GMP-compliant conditions.

Prof. Dr. Wilhelm K.
