Christina Tsigalou has been a Medical Microbiologist–Biopathologist and Assistant Professor in Medical–Molecular Microbiology at Democritus University of Thrace, Alexandroupolis,since 2017. She received her MD and Ph.D from the same University. Previous position: Director in the Biopathology laboratory (Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology) at the University General Hospital of Alexandroupolis from 2000. Her special interest is in Autoimmunity, Diagnostic Immunology and Clinical Chemistry. She leads staff in two teams of specialty trainees and laboratory technicians. She is also a professor in the Nursing Department at the High Technical Education Institute of East Macedonia and Thrace and she teaches in post-graduate courses as well. She performs reviews for national and international scientific journals, publishes articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of Greek and international scientific societies.
