Dr. Lana Narine is an Assistant Professor in the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences at Auburn University. Her research area is in remote sensing of the environment, and GIS and remote sensing applications in natural resources and forestry. Dr. Narine's work focuses on the development of methodologies to characterize three-dimensional ecosystem structure, particularly light detection and ranging (lidar) data from sensors on airborne and spaceborne platforms. She teaches coursework in GIS Applications in Natural Resources and Applications in Environmental Informatics. Dr. Narine is a member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) and the American Geophysical Union.
