Salvador Alepuz received M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 1993 and 2004, respectively. Since 1994, he has been an Associate Professor at the Escola Superior Politècnica (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), Tecnocampus Mataró-Maresme, Mataró (Barcelona) Spain. He has been visiting researcher at the Departamento de Electrónica, Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Chile, and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. His fields of interest are multilevel converters, ac power conversion and predictive control applied to renewable energy systems and electric vehicles.
