Prof. Dr. Anca Stoian

Prof. Anca Pantea Stoian, senior specialist in Diabetes, Nutrition, Metabolic diseases, and health food hygiene, is the President of the Romanian Committee of Diabetes, Nutrition, and Metabolic Diseases and The National Coordinator for the National Diabetes Programme. She conducts research in Nutritional Biochemistry, Internal Medicine (General Medicine), and Nutrition and Dietetics. Furthermore; she is involved in scientific work with national and international teams and develops an international scholarship program for PhD students. She is currently engaged in new therapy and new technology tools for screening and diabetes prevention, patient education, and technologies in diabetes. She is a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, Cardiometabolic Academy, Romanian Society of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, Romanian Diabetes Federation and Association for Renal Metabolic and Nutrition Studies, EASD, ADA; Vice-president of the Central European Association of Diabetes(CEDA); and a board member of the International Lipid Expert Panel and Federation for Europe of International Atherosclerosis Society. She has authored more than 300 papers in the areas of diabetes, nutrition, and lipid disorders in national and international peer-reviewed journals, with a 29 H-index and an Academic Editor (PLOS One, JDC) or Associate Editor and Reviewer for more than 15 national and international journals.
