Information

Attained a Master degree cum laude in physics at La Sapienza university of Rome, in 1977, the research activity started at ENEA in the 1981, after a teaching period at the technical high school. The research activities focused on GIS and remote sensing (R.S.) application analysis and development based also on innovative satellite and airborne sensors (i.e., one of the first Italian airborne R.S. mission experiences for the Po river monitoring) supported by in situ calibration campaigns. The research main goals were to efficiently assess, via R.S. methodologies, the effects of anthropogenic and natural impacts on the environment and ecosystems (mainly vegetation). Since 1999 he was involved in national and international projects as responsible of specific research and development activities (total amount of managed ENEA’s activities > 2 M€), with supervision of scientists and responsibility of results and milestones achievement. Since 2004 is in the scientific expert list of the Italian Ministry of the Research, to support industrial research project funding .
