This study investigates the impact of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) on consumer purchasing decisions in Amman's telecommunications sector. Grounded in IMC theory and the AIDA model, it analyzes the influence of advertising, public relations, sales promotion, personal selling, and direct marketing. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, data from 409 valid questionnaires were examined via multiple regression. IMC was found to significantly affect consumer behaviour, explaining 30 % of the variance in buying decision (R2 = 0.30). Among the components, direct marketing-particularly personalized SMS and email campaigns-had the strongest influence (R = 0.55), while public relations had the least impact. This research contributes empirical evidence from a high-growth, under-researched emerging market, providing context-specific insights into the differential effectiveness of IMC components. The results offer strategic recommendations for telecom firms to optimize their marketing mix by prioritizing data-driven direct marketing and enhancing adult channels to foster customer engagement and loyalty.

Using a consumer-centered approach, this study investigates the dynamics of competitive intelligence (CI) in Jordanian retail management. The goal of the study is to determine how various aspects of competitive intelligence relate to market performance in the Jordanian retail industry. A total of 334 participants make up the study's sample size; they were carefully chosen using stratified random sampling to minimise bias and guarantee a thorough representation of the various retail segments. The Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method is used in the study to fully explore the connections between the intelligence and store performance factors. The findings highlight a number of significant relationships. The market performance of Jordanian retailers is positively correlated with competitors' intelligence, consumer intelligence, market intelligence, technological intelligence, and the intelligence of strategic alliances. These findings highlight the central role of understanding competitive strategies, consumer behaviour, market trends, strategic alliances, and technological advancements in market success. In contrast, the study finds an insignificant positive relationship between social intelligence and market performance in Jordanian retailing. This suggests that while social intelligence is important, its direct impact on immediate market performance in this specific environment may be limited. Generally, this study provides valuable insights into the intricate interplay between intelligence factors and market performance in Jordanian retailing from the consumer’s perspective. The implications of these findings are significant for retail practitioners, as they urge strategic focus on competitor analysis, consumer-centric approaches, technology adoption, and strategic collaborations to improve market competitiveness and performance. The study not only contributes to the academic discourse but also provides actionable insights for retail management strategies in the dynamic and competitive Jordanian market. Keywords: Competitive Intelligence, Jordanian Retail Management, Market Performance, PLS-SEM

This study aimed to demonstrate the impact of digital marketing and evaluate the level of use through its strategies of search engine optimisation, search engine marketing, marketing content creation, social media marketing, mobile marketing, and email marketing on the market share of five-star hotels in Jordan. The current study focuses on the importance of digital marketing in the tourism industry. Both current and potential tourists depend on digital communication tools to obtain information about services, products, promotions and other related details online. Digital marketing allows for personalised communications and offers, but it is necessary to understand its types and value in tourism activities. As the industry becomes more complex and competitive, traditional marketing methods may no longer be sufficient. Therefore, tourism companies rely heavily on information and communications technology and work with global digital networks to distribute and sell their products. Effective digital marketing strategies are essential for increasing online exposure and attracting potential customers. The study adopted the descriptive and analytical field approach to collect data from the study sample of marketing managers, reservations and sales managers, and other participants in the marketing process. Moreover, the population consisted of all leadership and supervisory positions in twenty-one five-star hotels in Jordan, withapproximately 500 employees. The sample selected was 222 employees. The author also used the PLS‒SEM technique to analyse the data. This finding revealed that dimensions such as email marketing have a significant and positive effect on the market share of five-star hotels in Jordan. Similarly, mobile marketing, search engine marketing and social media marketing also have significant positive effects on the market share of the hotels studied. On the other hand, the results did not show that marketing content creation and search engine optimisation had no noticeable effect on market share. Furthermore, more studies on search engine optimisationand the creation and promotion of attractive marketing content are recommended, given the inability of the current study to prove its impact on market share. It also recommends that hotels strengthen their digital strategy to keep pace with rapid developments and the strength of competition across networks.

This paper has discussed the effects of AI applications on consumer attitude and business performance of various consumer based businesses in Jordan that include food, textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cosmetics, plastics, rubber, personal care and home care products. This research was going to cover a total of 1000 firms out of which a sample of 100 businesses were selected using convenience sampling. A structured questionnaire was sent to 384 respondents, and the data was analyzed with the aid of the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings confirm high correlation in the efficiency of customer services, business processes, and business performance of AI applications. The paper is applicable to the academic community because it provides empirical evidence on how AI can be applied in the new markets and offers a feasible recommendation to the policy makers and business leaders.
