Qinchuan Xin is a Professor at the School of Geography and Planning, Sun Yat-sen University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Geography from Boston University in 2012. From 2012 to 2015, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Global Change Studies, Tsinghua University. He joined the School of Geography and Planning at Sun Yat-sen University as an Associate Professor in 2015 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2021. His research interests encompass land surface process modeling, remote sensing, and geographic information systems.
