Nanotechnology is revolutionising different areas from manufacturing to therapeutics in the health field. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs), a promising drug candidate in nanomedicine, have attracted attention due to their excellent and unique mechanical, electronic, and physicochemical properties. This emerging nanomaterial has attracted a wide range of scientific interest in the last decade. Carbon nanotubes have many potential applications in cancer therapy, such as imaging, drug delivery, and combination therapy. Carbon nanotubes can be used as carriers for drug delivery systems by carrying anticancer drugs and enabling targeted release to improve therapeutic efficacy and reduce adverse effects on healthy tissues. In addition, carbon nanotubes can be combined with other therapeutic approaches, such as photothermal and photodynamic therapies, to work synergistically to destroy cancer cells. Carbon nanotubes have great potential as promising nanomaterials in the field of nanomedicine, offering new opportunities and properties for future cancer treatments. In this paper, the main focus is on the application of carbon nanotubes in cancer diagnostics, targeted therapies, and toxicity evaluation of carbon nanotubes at the biological level to ensure the safety and real-life and clinical applications of carbon nanotubes.

Fretting wear between titanium alloy components in aero engine is prevailing in the blade dovetail, the blade crown, and the damping shoulders. In this study, the fretting wear behavior of Ti-6Al-4V alloy was investigated by changing the load and displacement under a high frequency (100 Hz). To simulate the actual working conditions in aero engines, both the ball and flat samples were Ti-6Al-4V alloy. It was found that as the load increased, or as the applied displacement decreased, the fretting regime changed from gross slip regime to partial slip regime. The coefficient of friction/traction at steady stage decreased as load increased. Wear scar morphologies varied with fretting running conditions. In gross slip regime, the central area was higher than the rest region of the wear scar. In the mixed slip regime, large material accumulation could be found at both ends of the reciprocating motion. In partial slip regime, a nearly original fretting sample surface was observed in the central area and wear occurred in the edge area. Furthermore, considering the wear of the paired samples, a method based on the fretting wear scar diameter was proposed to evaluate the fretting running conditions.

To solve the problems of low measurement efficiency and measurement accuracy error in the balance correction of the mill before delivery. The measurement method of measuring a single chip instead of the whole chip group is adopted. And based on that, an improved adaptive quantum genetic algorithm based on Bloch spherical coordinates is proposed. Three layers of quantum coding are used for the grinding group, the first layer adopts three-strand gene coding, the second and third layers adopt double-strand gene coding, and the adaptive step coefficient is introduced on this basis. The improved algorithm not only has the global search ability of a genetic algorithm but also has the coding ability of quantum bit, which can avoid the premature algorithm and improve the convergence performance of the algorithm. The results show that the proposed method enhances the correction accuracy compared with the traditional correction method. The residual unbalance is less than 0.005kg; Work efficiency increased by 92%. It can improve the calibration efficiency and accuracy of grinding disc installation balance measurement.

In response to rotor imbalance during vehicle braking, which leads to vehicle vibrations, a method utilizing rotor speed and signal processing technology has been proposed. This method processes lateral vibration signals collected by a single-axis sensor during the vehicle braking process. The approach involves modal decomposition of the vibration signals, followed by improved multi-scale fuzzy entropy curve trend feature clustering. This helps determine the decomposition layers K in the Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD) and performs secondary denoising. Additionally, it combines an estimation of rotor speed to eliminate residual vibration noise. Compared to traditional offline balancing methods, this approach achieves online dynamic balancing detection of brake discs during vehicle braking. Offline validation using a vertical balancing machine indicates that the average amplitude error remains within 10% when the rotor speed is below 300 rpm, thus validating the effectiveness of this method.
