Scientific journals are academic publications that produce information in a specific discipline. In the current study, 522 studies published between 2009 and 2017 in Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, were bibliometrically examined. According to findings, the author with the highest rate of contribution to the journal is Rob Law, the most often published institution is Hong Kong Polytech University, and the most researched topic is customer loyalty. Periodical analysis of academic journals enables inferences to be made about the intellectual structures of the disciplines and provides leading summary information on important studies, scientists, and research trends.
This study examines individual studies conducted in the tourism-hospitality industry based on a sample in Turkey. It aims to determine the relations between emotional labour subdimensions (surface acting, deep acting, genuine emotion) and burnout subdimensions (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment) through meta-analysis. The analyses were performed on 13 individual studies. The findings suggest no significant relation between surface acting/genuine emotion and burnout subdimensions. On the other hand, while deep acting has a weak negative relation with emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, no significant relation was identified between deep acting and personal accomplishment. The findings are discussed in terms of their theoretical and practical impact on the tourism and hospitality industry.

Referred to as "the analysis of the analyses", meta-analysis has become a popular research area in the tourism and hospitality literature, as well as in many different fields of science. This great interest in meta-analysis has led to many meta-analysis studies in the tourism and hospitality literature; however, no general systematic perspective has been established for these studies. This paper examines the meta-analysis studies published in the tourism and hospitality literature via various parameters and presents a comprehensive classification. Because this paper uses a theoretical scope to systematically scrutinize meta-analysis studies conducted in the tourism and hospitality literature, it not only presents state-of-the-art research, it can also become a roadmap and reference for future researches.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of toxic leadership perception, leader-member exchange, job stress and emotional exhaustion to predict organizational citizenship behavior of hotel employees. The study is conducted with 623 participants from four and five-star hotel firms in Alanya which is among the top destinations in Turkey. Decision tree analysis is applied to determine the variables that decisive predicting organizational citizenship behavior of the employees. The external validity of the results obtained with the decision tree model is tested with artificial neural networks. The analysis showed that the most significant variable to predict employee organizational citizenship behaviors is leader-member exchange. Findings are discussed in terms of theoretical and practical implications for hospitality literature and sector practitioners.
Bu çalışma, İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi’nde yapay zekâ uygulamalarına yönelik bilimsel araştırmaların genel eğilimlerini ve entelektüel yapısını bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Konunun akademik ve sektörel açıdan hızla önem kazanması, İKY süreçlerinde yapay zekânın etkilerini anlamaya yönelik sistematik bir değerlendirme yapılmasını gerekli kılmaktadır. Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanından elde edilen 236 araştırma verisi, R dilinde programlanmış “Bibliometrix” uygulaması kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.

The aim of the study is to reveal the empirical trends in the tourism literature by analyzing the experimental researches carried out in the field of tourism in terms of bibliometric. The research data comprise 648 studies published “empirical” and “experimental” topic title between 1982-2017 in the top five tourism journals according to the Journal Citation Reports which are Tourism Management(TM), Journal of Travel Research(JTR), Journal of Sustainable Tourism(JST), Cornell Hospitality Quarterly(CHQ) and Annals of Tourism Research(ATR) indexed in "Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism" research area. The journals are examined in terms of publication numbers by years, country cooperations, common publication citation networks and topic orientations. Social network analysis has been used to determine the country collaborations, common publication citation networks and topic orientations. According to the results obtained in the study; %92,1 of publications were published after 2000. 58.5% of the publications were published between 2011 and 2017. USA and Spain have an important role in country cooperations. “Multivariate Data Analysis” written by Joseph F. Hair, Jr et al. in 2010 is the most basic reference source that guides the studies. This book was effective especially in the period between 2014 and 2017. Behavioral intention, strategic planning researches and environmental innovation are the most studied topics.
