Aim: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the potential mediating role of job burnout in the relationship between organisational support and quiet quitting among nurses. Additionally, this study aimed to determine the associations between organisational support, job burnout and quiet quitting. Design: This study was a descriptive, cross‐sectional study. Methods: This descriptive and cross‐sectional study included a total of 383 nurses. The convenience sampling method was used, and the study was conducted in Türkiye. Self‐reported measures, which included organisational support, job burnout and the quiet quitting scale, were completed by using an online version of the scale. Results: Statistically significant associations were found between organisational support, job burnout and quiet quitting. Organisational support had a significant negative effect on quiet quitting. Additionally, job burnout had a positive effect on quiet quitting behaviour. Moreover, job burnout partially mediated the relationship between organisational support and quiet quitting. Conclusion: The findings highlight the importance of considering job burnout as a critical factor in mitigating the positive effect of organisational support on quiet quitting. Prioritising the job burnout of healthcare workers plays a significant role in reducing quiet quitting behaviour through organisational support. Impact: This study focused on how organisational support and burnout interact with quiet quitting, which is a current issue among nurses, and explained the mediating role of job burnout in the relationship between organisational support and quiet quitting. The main findings of this research provide evidence that organisational support influences quiet quitting behaviour. Similarly, job burnout affects quiet quitting behaviour. Moreover, job burnout plays a mediating role in the relationship between organisational support and quiet quitting behaviour. It has been proven that job burnout is a significant barrier to the impact of organisational support in reducing quiet quitting behaviour. This research will have an impact on the management and strategic planning of healthcare organisations. Reporting Method: STROBE reporting method has been followed. Patient or Public Contribution: No patient or public contribution.

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the potential mediating role of turnover intention in the relationship between job burnout and quiet quitting among nurses and shed light on the associations between job burnout, turnover intention and quiet quitting intention.Design: This study was designed as a descriptive, cross‐sectional study. Methods: A total of 317 nurses were selected using convenience sampling approach from a training and research hospital in Turkey. Quiet quitting, job burnout and turnover intention data were collected using the self‐reported questionnaires using paper‐and‐pencil versions. Pearson correlation analysis, independent sample t‐test and mediation analysis was conducted with Process v4.3.Results: Statistically significant associations among job burnout, turnover intention and quiet quitting were found (p < 0.05). Job burnout had a positive effect on turnover intention (β = 0.339, p < 0.001) and quiet quitting (β = 0.245, p < 0.001). Additionally, turnover intention had a positive and significant effect on quiet quitting intention of nurses (β = 0.336, p < 0.001). Moreover, mediation analysis revealed that the association of job burnout with quiet quitting was partially mediated by turnover intention (β = 0.034, 95% CI [0.019, 0.054]).Conclusion: This study enrich our understanding of the associations among study variables and suggest that focusing solely on job burnout without considering the mediating effects of turnover intention might not be adequate for reducing the quiet quitting intention among nurses.Impact: This study shed light on how job burnout and turnover intention of nurses affect their quiet quitting intention. It has been proven that turnover intention is a significant factor in the relationship between job burnout and quiet quitting. These findings could provide guidance for managers in the administration of nurses.Patient or Public Contribution: No patient or public contribution.

This study aimed to assess the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the Quiet Quitting Scale (QQS) among healthcare workers. After completing the language validation, the psychometric properties of the QQS were tested on a sample of 542 healthcare workers from two hospitals in Turkey. Convergent validity was examined using the Burnout Measure-Short Version (BMS). The reliability of the scale was evaluated through internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and split-half reliability. Factor analysis confirmed the one-dimensional structure of the QQS with its seven items. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.81, the intraclass correlation coefficient for the total score was 0.91, and the Spearman-Brown coefficient for split-half reliability was 0.80. Additionally, the test-retest reliability was found to be high. A correlation coefficient of 0.79 between the QQS and BMS confirmed the scale’s convergent validity. These results suggest that the Turkish version of the QQS is a valid and reliable tool for measuring quiet quitting behavior in healthcare workers. Further research with different sample groups is recommended.

Background: This study examined the serial mediating roles of perceived quality and customer satisfaction in the relationship between trust and repurchase intentions among private health insurance owners. Methods: This cross-sectional study included 525 private health insurance owners. The data were collected between 15.12.2023 and 15.03.2024, and SPSS AMOS was used to analyze the direct and indirect estimates. The study utilized structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine the relationships among the constructs. The proposed model was tested using maximum likelihood estimation. Model fit indices and statistical significance levels were reported to ensure the robustness of the findings. Using an online survey, the participants completed self-reported measures of perceived quality, customer satisfaction, trust, and repurchase intention. Results: Trust significantly affected perceived quality, customer satisfaction and repurchase intention. Furthermore, perceived quality acted as a mediator in the relationship between trust and customer satisfaction. Additionally, customer satisfaction played a partial mediating role in the relationship between trust and repurchase intention. Both perceived quality and customer satisfaction play a serial mediating role in the relationship between trust and repurchase intention. Conclusions: This study highlighted the significance of perceived quality and customer satisfaction in the relationship between trust and repurchase intention. Private health insurance agencies both alleviate the burden on public health services and operate as profit-driven entities. Considering their indirect benefits to healthcare services, maintaining existing customer portfolios and acquiring new customers are important for both the health system and the profitability of insurance businesses.
