Diabetes mellitus is a hyperglycemia-like chronic condition that is a troublesome disease. It is estimated that, according to the growing morbidity, by 2040, the world will cross 642 million diabetic patients. This means that each one of the ten adults will be diabetes-affected. Diabetes can also lead to other illnesses such as heart attacks, kidney damage, and even blindness. The prediction of diabetes in advance motivates us to develop a machine learning-based model. A dataset was obtained from the online repository for this work. The obtained dataset was imbalanced. An imbalanced dataset presents a challenge that is needed to be balanced for prediction using multiple machine learning like Tomek and SMOTE. These techniques remove necessary outliers that are incomplete in the provided dataset. These outliers are also managed using the IQR method. Additionally, this research employed a two-stage model selection methodology. In the first stage, logistic regression, Support Vector Machine, k-nearest neighbors, gradient boost, Naive Bayes, and Random Forests were applied to determine the efficiency of prediction based on patients’ preconditioning. At this stage, Random Forest was found to be the best with an accuracy of 80.7% after applying SMOTE oversampling technique to balance the dataset. In the second stage, three better-performing models were used by utilizing a voting algorithm. The results were encouraging, and the model obtained 82.0% accuracy with the default dataset and 81.7% accuracy with the balanced dataset. Naive Bayes Theorem, Gradient Boosting Classifier, and Random Forest were used as inputs to the voting algorithm.
Software Defined Network (SDN) is a next-generation networking architecture and its power lies in centralized control intelligence. The control plane of SDN can be extended to many underlying networks such as fog to Internet of Things (IoT). The fog-to-IoT is currently a promising architecture to manage a real-time large amount of data. However, most of the fog-to-IoT devices are resource-constrained and devices are widespread that can be potentially targeted with cyber-attacks. The evolving cyber-attacks are still an arresting challenge in the fog-to-IoT environment such as Denial of Service (DoS), Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), Infiltration, malware, and botnets attacks. They can target varied fog-to-IoT agents and the whole network of organizations. The authors propose a deep learning (DL) driven SDN-enabled architecture for sophisticated cyber-attacks detection in fog-to-IoT environment to identify new attacks targeting IoT devices as well as other threats. The extensive simulations have been carried out using various DL algorithms and current state-of-the-art Coburg Intrusion Detection Data Set (CIDDS-001) flow-based dataset. For better analysis five DL models are compared including constructed hybrid DL models to distinguish the DL model with the best performance. The results show that proposed Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) hybrid model outperforms other DL models in terms of detection accuracy and response time. To show unbiased results 10-fold cross-validation is performed. The proposed framework is so effective that it can detect several types of cyber-attacks with 99.92% accuracy rate in multiclass classification.

In this paper, we have proposed the intimate environment of multiblockchain optimization algorithm using big data inquiry to mend the effectiveness of association query handling among numerous multihoming blockchains by implementing the big data system. This technique adds semantic evidences to the old-styled multiblockchain prototype and constructs a semantic model of multiblockchain that delivers a foundation for linking queries among the various blockchain multihoming system in big data. On the base of this model, distributed databases have index arrangement, and a linking index arrangement is proposed among the numerous blockchains, with several attributes linked to these blockchains employed to improve the efficacy of linking calculation. Besides, the communication cost is for data communication. On this foundation, a multichain linking enquiry algorithm based on optimization is anticipated to progress the productivity of multiblockchain connection queries. To conclude, two genuine big data community sets of data are used to conduct experiments on. The associating index arrangement among blockchains is unchanging and is equated with the old-styled direct linking inquiry operation. The multiblockchain linking query method of optimization shortens the probe processing procedure. It acquires the query outcomes directly by retrieving the linking index, sinking the local calculating ability, system overhead, and illuminating query efficacy.

In industry, sensor-based monitoring of equipment or environment has become a necessity. Instead of using a single sensor, multi-sensor system is used to fully detect abnormalities in complex scenarios. Recently, physical models, signal processing technology, and various machine learning models have improved the performance. However, these methods either do not consider the potential correlation between features or do not take advantage of the sequential changes of correlation while constructing an anomaly detection model. This paper firstly analyzes the correlation characteristic of a multi-sensor system, which shows a lot of clues to the anomaly/fault propagation. Then, a multi-sensor anomaly detection method, which finds and uses the correlation between features contained in the multidimensional time-series data, is proposed. The method converts the multidimensional time-series data into temporal correlation graphs according to time window. By transforming time-series data into graph structure, the task of anomaly detection is considered as a graph classification problem. Moreover, based on the stability and dynamics of the correlation between features, a structure-sensitive graph neural network is used to establish the anomaly detection model, which is used to discover anomalies from multi-sensor system. Experiments on three real-world industrial multi-sensor systems with anomalies indicate that the method obtained better performance than baseline methods, with the mean value of F1 score reaching more than 0.90 and the mean value of AUC score reaching more than 0.95. That is, the method can effectively detect anomalies of multidimensional time series.
Agile software development methodologies have become the most popular software development methods in the last few years. These methodologies facilitate rapid development. The low cost and prioritized user satisfaction make these methodologies more attractive. These methodologies were also intended for small scale developmental teams. Therefore, challenges were encountered when these methodologies were used in large-scale development teams. This study was based on the identification of factors which were discovered in our previous study. Some of the factors included “leadership strong commitment and team autonomy”, “cooperative organizational culture”, and “team competency—agile development expertise”. A total of 147 practices were identified in this study via a systematic literature review. These practices will help practitioners and project managers to adopt agile software methodologies and encourage them to the enhance them.
