Paul Nicolae BORZA was born in Brasov, Romania in 1955. He graduated in 1980 as Dipl. Electrical Engineer from the University Transilvania of Braşov, Romania and received a Ph.D. degree from the Politehnica University Bucharest, Romania in 1994. In 1982, he joined the Mechanics Department of “Transilvania” University of Braşov as an Assistant Professor and since 1988 as an Associate Professor in the Electronics and Computers Department at the same university. He is now a Professor. Before the academic career, he has worked as a maintenance engineer from 1980 to 1982, and between 2002 and 2009, he worked as a corporate technology member. His current research interests include energy storage systems, low-power electronics, remote control, computer architecture, and medical instrumentation. He is the author or co-author of 70+ papers (35+ are indexed in ISI Web of Knowledge) and 10+ books.
