This study analyzes the relationship between financial education, financial attitude, financial advice, financial knowledge, and behavior and its influence on financial capabilities, as well as their impact on financial well-being. The population consists of individuals over 18 years of age, who are primarily higher education students. A non-probabilistic self-selection sampling method was used, and data were collected through an electronic form on Google Forms. The design is quantitative, non-experimental, and cross-sectional. The instrument includes sections on sociodemographic profiles, financial education, financial attitudes, financial advice, financial knowledge and behavior, financial capabilities, and financial well-being using a 1 to 5 Likert scale. To ensure validity and reliability, statistical indices such as Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s omega were applied. Data normality was assessed, and exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings from the results of this study largely align with the existing literature regarding the relationship between financial knowledge and financial capabilities, as well as between financial capabilities and financial well-being. However, a discrepancy is observed in the hypotheses related to financial education, financial attitudes, and financial counseling, suggesting that although these factors are important, their influence may depend on other contextual elements or mediators not considered in this study. This opens the possibility for further investigation into how these factors interact in the development of financial capabilities.

This study investigates the performance of large-scale ornamental treatment wetlands (TW) for the treatment of municipal wastewater in the municipality of Nautla, Veracruz, Mexico, specifically within a contaminated estuary in the Gulf of Mexico. The research employed a treatment wetland system that integrates mixed flow methods, including vertical subsurface flow (VSSF) and horizontal subsurface flow (HSSF), to optimize operational, maintenance, and energy costs. Over a monitoring period from 15 October 2022 to 17 September 2023, the system achieved remarkable efficiencies in the removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD), NH3-N, NH4-N, NO2-N, NO3-N, total nitrogen (TN), with removal rates of 93.37%, 93.37%,91.36%, 91.29%, 95.74%, 97.36%, 71.69%, 92.26% and 91.45%, respectively. The effluent complied with the water quality standards established by the official Mexican standard NOM-001-SEMARNAT-2021, demonstrating the effectiveness of this TW configuration in treating water characterized by high chemical oxygen demand, nitrogen, and phosphorus levels. The results are especially relevant for tropical climates, where high temperatures and humidity can affect microbial activity and nutrient cycling, potentially enhancing treatment performance and reducing construction and management costs. This research highlights the viability of ornamental treatment wetlands as a sustainable solution for wastewater treatment in tropical climates and provides valuable information for future implementation and design criteria.

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) enable the simplification of activities carried out all business and particularly in financial activities. For this purpose, in this paper we will discuss the importance of teaching financial mathematics and the importance to have a financial instrument for developing calculations in several scenarios in real time to making decision. It is described, how in a classroom would teach in the traditional system in a specific theme of mathematics, such as: "debt restructuring and modeling equivalent of the equation" Starting from the theoretical explanation, we continue with the design of financial simulator programmed into a spreadsheet.
