Maria Juschten is a social scientist working both at the Institute of Landscape Development, Recreation and Conservation Planning as well as at the Institute for Transport Studies. During her PhD, she specialized in sustainable tourism mobility in the context of climate change adaptation and mitigation. Her research activities have involved a number of transdisciplinary studies in the field of mobility behaviour, governance aspects in transport policy-making and spatial planning processes. Within her research, she uses a range of both quantitative statistical approaches as well as qualitative and participatory methods.
