Weifu Dong is a professor and president of the Academy of Science and Technology at Jiangnan
University. He received his PhD from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2006. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a Postdoctoral at TU/e and The Netherlands Polymer Institute (DPI). He served as the Dean of the School of Chemical and Materials Engineering of Jiangnan University from 2017 to 2023. He
won the Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Innovation Award in 2023, the “333 Project” training object of Jiangsu Province in 2016, and the New Century Outstanding Talent of the Ministry of Education in 2012. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Functional Polymers and Chemical Bulletin. He holds more than 60 authorized Chinese invention patents. His research interests include environment-friendly polymer materials, medical polymer materials, and polymer packaging materials.
