The paper is devoted to the analysis of the digital transformation processes that are currently taking place in the economy, production, education and society as a whole. The main reason digital transformation is impact of the digital technologies. Modern digital technologies, services and systems are extremely important for social development. One of the key issues for the implementation of digital transformation is changes in the way of thinking and requirements for the competencies of workers in the industry. First of all, it is connected with people’s understanding of digital transformation processes and with their ability to use digital technologies effectively. For specifying Ukrainian educators’ awareness level about digital transformation processes, there were conducted survey. Research results have shown that there is a need to increase their awareness level about digital transformation processes. Based on the analysis of the considered researches the authors have developed a generalized model of digital transformation for enterprises, businesses and educational institutions.

The authors investigate the theoretical foundations of the concept of ecosystem, interdisciplinary approaches and features of integrated STEM education in the educational process, analyzed the components of the educational ecosystem and proved that they all directly affect the quality of STEM subjects. The authors conducted a survey to identify ways to develop components of the ecosystem of STEM education, which involved 105 respondents, students of pedagogical specialties of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and teachers of secondary schools in different regions of Ukraine. The analysis showed that the successful implementation of STEM education, involving all components of the ecosystem, involves the development of science education, in particular, the introduction of inquiry-based learning and the use of digital technologies in the educational process. Process skills are described, which are formed using inquiry-based learning, examples of tasks for the formation of basic and integrated skills of the scientific process are presented. Based on the research, the role of digital tools in the development of science education is demonstrated and groups of digital tools are identified that are necessary for ecosystem development and will help increase the efficiency of the educational process, make STEM learning interesting and productive; examples of digital resources that support students' learning in various integrated STEM environments are given and their role in the development of the STEM education ecosystem is described. Digital tools can be used to increase students' positive motivation, expand their experience and accelerate learning, they help to study STEM subjects and encourage students to explore scientific ideas in new ways.

Contemporary education is often based on using e-learning courses, which have become a popular means of delivering didactic material to students. Among the main advantages mentioned is the potential possibility of creating individual ways of learning and teaching. The purpose of this article is to provide a description of the various approaches to adaptive learning, to present the comparative research results of a Polish-Ukrainian study, as well as to highlight the options offered by LMS Moodle (Modular object-oriented dynamic learning environment Learning Management System) for the implementation of adaptive learning and the possibility of taking into account the expectation of students regardless of the country. During the study, an online survey was administered to 59 students at the University of Silesia in Katowice (US), Poland and 121 students at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (BGKU), Ukraine between March–June 2020. All of the students were studying online due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19. The classes were conducted in synchronous and in asynchronous modes using e-learning courses in the Moodle system, as well as MS Teams for Polish students and Google Suite for Ukrainian students. At the same time, the majority of the surveyed students declared that they lack personalization, both in terms of materials and the learning process, which was limited in terms of fulfilment and they would like to have a choice of the level of study.

Purpose: This paper aims to describe the popular trends and methods and ICT tools used for mapping and visualization of scientific domains as a research methodology which is attracting more and more interest from scientific information and science studies professionals. Science mapping or bibliometric mapping is a spatial representation of how disciplines, fields, specialties and individual documents or authors. The researchers analysed Bibexel, Pajek, VOSViewer, programmes used for processing and visualization of bibliographic and bibliometric data, within the framework of the implementation of IRNet research network project and activities and presented several examples of visualisation. Design/methodology/approach: Among the main indicators of research effectiveness – bibliometric indicators – is a powerful information tool to support the development of science. Practical research methods were prepared using the programs: Bibexel (metadata analyses), program Pajek: graph editing and visualization of the graph structure of co-authorship – using the method of Kamada-Kawai and VOSviewer: a computer program for creating maps based on network data and for visualizing and exploring these maps. The main features of VOSviewer can be summarized for creating maps based on network data, visualizing and exploring maps. Findings: The cited references and keywords are used to analyse in particular the intellectual base used by the research field or to analyse documents that cite the same references. Originality/value: The authors of the paper, who are researchers of the European IRNet project and international research network, described and analysed certain bibliographic results of these activities using methods of mapping and visualization of scientific domains.
