Dr. Ali S. Alqahtani is an Associate Professor of Pharmacognosy and Natural Products, Department of Pharmacognosy, College of Pharmacy, King Saud University. He was awarded a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He studied a Master of Pharmacognosy at the College of Pharmacy at King Saud University and pursued his PhD in Australia. He has published many scientific papers in the field of herbs, natural products, and the analysis of herbal preparations. His research interests center around the phytochemistry, safety, and quality of herbal products. In addition to his contributions to reviewing many research papers for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals with a high impact factor, he has participated in teaching postgraduate students in the courses of scientific research methods and selected topics on the chemistry of natural products.
