Prof. Hongquan Song is a Professor at the College of Geography and Environmental Science at Henan University, China. He received his MS in Cartography and Geography Information System from Henan University in 2010 and his PhD in Cartography and Geography Information System from Nanjing Normal University in 2013. Then, he received a PostDoc from Henan University in 2015. He worked as a Researcher at the Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, North Carolina State University (2014–2015). In 2015, he moved to Henan University and was promoted to Professor in 2022. He is the Executive Director of the Henan Society of Agricultural Engineering and the Director of The Geographical Society of Henan. His research interests mainly include Spatial Analysis, Geographic Information System, Spatial Statistics, Maps, Desertification, Digital Mapping, Geospatial Science, Climate Change, and Geoinformation.
