Adrian Filipescu received engineer diploma in automatic control and computers from Polytechnics University of Bucharest, Romania, in 1981 and Ph. D. degree in control systems from “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati, Romania, in 1993. Between 1981 and 1983, he has been with Computers Factory in Bucharest as engineer in computer integration and testing. Since 1983 till now, he has been with the “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati and currently is full professor and Ph. D. supervisor in control systems with the Department of Automation. His research interest includes numerical calculus, linear and non-linear control, robotics and mechatronics. Between 2000 and 2004, he conducted three NATO research internships in labs from Politechnics of Torino, Italy, the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France andInstitute of Systems and Robotics, University of Coimbra, Portugal.
