Sylvie Daniel graduated in electrical engineering in 1994. She received a PhD degree in signal processing and telecommunications in 1998 from University of Rennes I (France). She is now full professor at the Département des Sciences Géomatiques at Université Laval. Strongly committed to research, her interests include data acquisition (bathymetric and LiDAR point clouds, images), image processing and artificial intelligence, 3D modeling, data fusion, and augmented reality. Sylvie Daniel is a member of IEEE and ACM, principal researcher of the CRDIG, member of the Centre for studying distributed intelligent shared environments, and member of the Institute Intelligence and Data (IID), a key player in the field of artificial intelligence.
