Dr. Alicja Zawiślak is an orthodontist specializing in the treatment of orofacial clefts and craniofacial malformations, as well as a molecular biologist. She earned her degrees from Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin (Poland), the University of Greifswald (Germany), and Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland). At her alma mater, she obtained the title of Orthodontics Specialist and defended her PhD thesis.
Dr. Zawiślak furthered her scientific pursuits during a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center of Applied Medical Sciences, University of Navarra in Pamplona (Spain). She has completed numerous internships abroad, including at the University of Murcia (Spain), University of Milan (Italy), International Catalonian University in Barcelona (Spain), and University of Alexandria (Egypt).
Currently, she is an Assistant Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Maxillofacial Orthopaedics and Orthodontics at the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw, the reference center for craniofacial deformities treatment in Poland. Additionally, she serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Interdisciplinary Dentistry at Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin.
