Prof. Dr. Jianlin
Hu is the deputy dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Chongqing
University. He graduated from the School of Electrical Engineering of Chongqing
University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and automation in
2001 and received a doctorate in electrical engineering in 2009. From September
2013 to September 2014, he was a visiting scholar at the University of
Manchester, UK. He is currently a member of IEEE, a member of International
Power Grids (CIGRE), and a member of the Chongqing Electrical Engineering
Society. Since joining the school in July 2003, he has been engaged in research
on the external insulation characteristics of ultra-high voltage transmission
and icing and protection of transmission lines in special (high altitude,
dirty, icing) environments.
