Eleni Andreou is a Clinical Dietitian and Professor of Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Nicosia/Intercollege. She possesses a B.Sc. from Youngstown State University, USA, Food and Nutrition/Dietetics (1990). She continued her education in Clinical Dietetics at the same university and at Southside & Northside Memorial Hospital in Ohio. She was granted the title of RDN by the Commission on Dietetic Registration upon the completion of her exams (1992). She received her Doctorate in Professional Studies from Middlesex University with the title Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition Sciences and Health Education, with areas of interest including behavioral modification, diabetes, obesity, eating disorders, cognition–sleep and nutrition. She practices as a private Clinical Dietitian and coordinates and teaches at the University of Nicosia/Intercollege on the programs of Dietetics and Nutrition as an Associate Professor. Additionally, she is a researcher in her field and collaborates with medical centers and companies in the food and pharmaceutical industry. She is the author of several scientific articles and books related to dietetics. She is the President of the Cyprus Dietetic and Nutrition Association; the President of the Cyprus Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism; the Vice President of the Cyprus Registration Board for Food Scientists, Technologists and Dietitians; and a board member for the Cyprus Atherosclerosis Association.
